Gardai have confirmed they will be treating very seriously claims poachers in Inishowen have threatened to poison the peninsula’s main water supply unless the local anglers association and bailiffs at the Crana river back off.

A spokesperson for the gardai said they regarded this ‘as a very serious threat.’
